As it celebrates its centennial, Grupo Modelo reaffirms its leadership in the brewing industry by placing Corona, Cerveza Modelo, and Victoria—the three Mexican beer brands in its portfolio—among the top eleven in the beer category of Kantar’s BrandZ 2025 Most Valuable Global Brands report.

“Celebrating Grupo Modelo’s 100th anniversary with this recognition is a true honor, as it reflects the company’s commitment to the country’s brewing industry and highlights the power of our brands to connect with people, both in Mexico and beyond,” said Felipe Ambra, Vice President of Marketing at Grupo Modelo. “Corona, a brand born in Mexico and also celebrating its centennial this year, once again leads the global ranking as the most valuable beer brand in the world, and it represents everything we are: quality, tradition, and innovation with a Mexican seal,” he concluded.

Grupo Modelo continues to consolidate Corona’s legacy as a symbol of Mexican brewing pride around the world. In 2024, the brand recorded double-digit growth, while Corona Cero, the alcohol-free option in the family, achieved triple-digit growth and became the first non-alcoholic beverage to sponsor the Olympic Games, making its debut at Paris 2024.

Joining Corona at the top is Cerveza Modelo, a Mexican brand that has held the number four spot in the global ranking for the second year in a row, and for the first time, Victoria ranks eleventh.

“Seeing Victoria ranked as the number 11 brand worldwide is a reason to celebrate. This recognition reflects the great work behind a brand that has become part of our country’s culture—one of the most democratic beers, because everyone in Mexico can gather around a

That’s why we’re excited to see how it connects with new audiences and how its growth reflects the talent of the Mexican people,” she added.

In addition to the recognition of Corona, Cerveza Modelo, and Victoria, the ranking also includes other iconic Grupo Modelo brands such as Budweiser (#2), Michelob Ultra (#5), Bud Light (#7), and Stella Artois (#9)—showcasing the strength and relevance of the company’s beer portfolio.
