The Bright Side, July at Trendsétera

The Bright Side TrendséteraLet’s begin with a truth that’s both difficult and liberating: it’s easier to be scared than to be brave. The headlines are loud, the news cycles relentless, the rise of brash, vulgar voices dangerously normalized. And yet, here we are, still standing, still choosing nuance over noise, clarity over chaos.

At Trendsétera, this July we’re turning our attention to the bright side. Not out of denial, but out of decision. A conscious, curated commitment to radical optimism, the kind Dua Lipa is singing about in her latest tour, calling for cooler, freer spaces where we could feel safe again. Optimism, today, is not naïve. It is strategic. It is resistance.

This edition is a collaboration with our friend and guest editor Alexandre Szulc, whose perspective as a Paris-based cultural thinker with deep roots in the luxury world lends depth to every insight. Together, we explore the cracks in the system, from institutional collapse and corporate greed to generational shifts and the spiritual resurgence. Among the key themes: the collapse of the age of fraud, the rise of decentralized power, AI as a mirror (not a monster), the rebirth of media, and the return of meaning. Think of this month as a map toward the new world, one where empathy, creativity, and sovereignty lead the way.

So, this month, we invite you — no, WE URGE U — to read, reflect, and participate. Let’s engage not in outrage, but in insight. Let’s be loud in our curiosity and intentional in our hope. Because finding the bright side in this moment isn’t escapism, it’s design.

And if the future’s going to shine, we’ll be the ones to polish it.
